YankeesCards.com Wants You
Are you a sports memorabilia collector? Are you a baseball memorabilia collector? Are you a New York Yankees memorabilia collector? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then we want you on our team. What started as one man's dream has now turned into quite an ambitous project to catalog as much New York Yankees memorabilia as we can. We know this is a daunting task but one that we are certain we can tackle with the right people on our team. YankeesCards.com is united in its mission to create the ultimate fan and collector site. The current five person staff donate both their time and their collections so we can give fans and collectors alike the best website possible.
So where do you fit in? The simple answer is wherever you want. Do you have a speacialty area that you're very proud of? Currently, we have concentrated our efforts in four areas: Cards, Autographs, Memorabilia and Publications. This in no way means that we have those categories finished off. Even though we have members with massive collections, we are always looking for people to help us fill the holes.
The Baseball Card section can always use more people. This website has taken on a life of it's own and as the owner of the site, I find myself spending more time with site management and improvements. This means that I often don't have time to scan in all the Fleer, Donruss, Upper Deck and Miscellaneous sets that I still have left to upload. Additionally, there are hundreds of other sets that I don't even have examples of. One project that would take on a life of its own is cataloging all the Yankees Minor League sets. I can definitely see that becoming its own entire section.
Our autograph section will be pretty large, but there is always room for more. In fact, if anyone is interested, we may be able to add individual collections to the site so you'd always have a home to display your cards.
Our Publications section will soon contain all Yearbooks, Media Guides and Program variations, but there are still plenty of national and regional issue magazines and lots more books that we can catalog.
So, if you think you might be interested in becoming part of the team then there are only a few more things to consider. YankeesCards.com will never engage in the sale of any items. Individual collectors can sell whatever they want on their own time, but this website will never be used to sell any of the memorabilia listed on this site. Secondly, we can't pay anyone to contribute parts of their collections here. If you want to be part of our team, then you do it because you absolutely desire to share your collection with the rest of the world...free of charge. If you can live with those simple guidelines, then we'd be happy to have you aboard. Click on the Contact link if you think you might be what we're looking for. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
